Science Week Activities above !

The boys made their own lava lamp, milk colour changing movement experiment and some other experiments as part of Science Week. The boys also particpated in a shared activity with Mrs. Ballance's senses activity where they tasted, touched and smelled various items!

If you would like to try any of these experiments at home, hoopla kids experiments have some relatively simple but effective experiments to try at home. The link is Please ensure that your child is always accompanied for all of these experiments!

Have fun!

Tips for our Super Readers in Senior Infants!

Keep up the great reading and the oral language homework is just as important as the written homework.

Re-read the books given

TALK about the books

Read on-- ask questions now does it make sense? Why? etc.

Read more slowly and discuss alternative beginnings and endings

Look at and discuss the illustrations

Discuss the characters and their feelings in the story

Break up words and spellings

Choose to read at a comfortable time and place (for example bedtime)

Most importantly enjoy and have your son choose books he can read in the library based on their age level, ability. Have fun!

Science Week The boys took part in a milk colour changing experiment.

****All the class are invited to participate in the Art Project entitled "What does Christmas mean to you" run by DLR. The boys are invited to draw or paint a picture in their own time based on the above theme which will then hopefully be displayed in Dun Laoghaire SC if successful. Children's names are to be put on the back of sheets at home. The boys can complete their work at home or in Goldentime on Friday and must be handed in by Wednesday 29th November. If the boys work will be displayed in Dun Laoghaire the school will be notified by email. Good Luck to all the boys and enjoy the process!*****
