Our 2017 Gaelic Season

This year there is huge interest in playing Gaelic for St. Mary's this year. Because of this we have added in a second Junior team. Please make sure that you double check whether you are on Junior team 1 or 2. Team 1 will be run by Ms. Cawley and team 2 will be run by Mr. de Paor.

The senior team will be run by Ms. Cartwright and Mr. O'Hanrahan.

Due to the huge amout of interest we may not be able to bring the full panel to each match. Coaches will inform you who is needed for each match.

2016

Congratulations Senior Gaelic Football Team

A massive congratulations to our senior footballers who played a fantastic match in their cup final in Croke Park on Tuesday. We are very proud to be the joint winners of the Corn Mhic Chaoilte.

After an outstanding first half performance, in very wet and difficult conditions, we were ahead at half time.  Scoil Fintan from Sutton made some substitutions and managed to bring the sides level. Despite this our boys never dropped their heads and continued to play their hearts out.

At the final whistle we were drawn at 3-5 each and so the cup will be shared between both schools for the year.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to support us on the day. It is an amazing experience to be able to play in Croke Park and we enjoyed every minute of it. We even had some familiar faces from the senior team came back to support us.

Ms. Cartwright

Scoil Mhuire Abú

The St Mary's senior footballers victorious in Croke Park.

Well done to the team on a wonderful performance in the Sciath an Chéad final

in Croke Park. They each did the basics well and worked together as a team to

come away with the shield. No doubt we have all come away with life-long

memories of a great day out for St Mary's.

Well done to St. Fintan's, Sutton, our opponents who played their hearts' out.

A heartfelt thank you to all our Parents, who support the players in every way,

to Padraic McDonald and Maurice Leahy of Kilmacud Crokes, for their

contribution to Gaelic Football in St. Mary's.

Mrs. Munnelly, Ms. Cartwright and Ms. Cawley.
