Our class has been very busy settling into school!
We have learnt so much already and made lots of new friends!
We have been very busy enjoying our times of play throughout each day - with a focus on our community, developing fine motor skills and encouraging the children's socialisation and friendships!
During September we have completed many different activities to improve our fine motor skills and pencil grip! We have also begun our phonics learning and have started blending our first words! We have enjoyed learning nursery rhymes such as Humpty Dumpty, Incy Wincy Spider and Jack and Jill. Lots of sequencing, drama and art activities have been based on these rhymes!
Our maths learning has involved lots of exploration and discovery on topics such as sorting, matching, classifying and ordering! Along with our use of materials we have enjoyed using games and discussion top understand these topics!
Junior Infants have really enjoyed our mindfulness moments during September! These moments include exercise, yoga, breathing and most importantly having lots of fun together!
