Many thanks to Barry Ward who visited 6th class on Friday 21st March to run a mock trial. Pupils played the roles of solicitors, witnesses, court officials and jury as they learned about how the courtroom runs and the justice system works.
The defendant, presumed innocent until proven otherwise, was acquitted of stealing a box of chocolates by unanimous decision of the 12-person jury.
