Dear parent /guardian,
We hope you have all had a safe and restful summer break. We are really looking forward to welcoming back all the children to your local National School Saint Mary’s on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021. We thank you sincerely for helping us re-open our school safely the last term and facilitating a safe return to school for all students and staff. All students from Junior Infants to Sixth class will return to school on Tuesday 31st August. Junior Infants to Second class will be in bubbles. 3rd to 6th classes will be in pods. Class teachers will organise these. A more detailed email has already been sent out to all parents/guardians via Aladdin.

Junior Infants will be assigned a place to line up in the yard. Ms O’ Shea will show you. Parents can wait with them at 8:50 until they are collected by their class teacher. In keeping with our “Hug & Go” advice we ask parents to then leave the grounds promptly. Your son can be collected from the same spot at 11:45 where we ask you to “Collect & Go” promptly. (13:30 from Thursday, September 9th)
We ask that all adults wear a mask on the school grounds and remain socially distanced.
We have a one-way system in operation at collection time. Adults are asked to enter the yard on the right-hand side by following the green line. We remind all adults to stay being this line at all times. When you have collected your child and you are exiting the yard, please leave via the exit gate (This is the side closest to the school building). A staff member will be on duty to ensure this is adhered to in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Families are asked to follow all government protocols at all times. If you suspect that your child or any member of your household has symptoms of Covid-19 please keep your child at home and follow the advice given by the HSE.
