On Tuesday, 9th November dawned a precious sight as St. Mary’s BNS upheld a very special and long tradition in our school of supporting the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
This tradition also involves each child having the opportunity to personally hand over his precious shoebox to the Team Hope volunteers, Ken, Matt and Rob. They patiently explained to each child who asked them how the boxes would get from St. Mary’s to Africa and Eastern Europe!
We thank all our pupils and their families for all your incredible generosity. To date this year, we have collected 200 boxes, and we have received a certificate of thanks from Team hope.
Special thanks also to 6th class pupils, Archie, who escorted each class down to the van at their appointed time, Joe, who took the tally of all the boxes and Niall, who took these fantastic pictures! May God continue to bless you and your families. A huge thank you to Ms Spelman for organising this great tradition in Saint Mary's.
