SCHOOL ReOPENING Saint Mary's reopens for all students on Wednesday 30th August at 08:35. Gates open at 08:25.
OPENING TIMES: For the first six school days, Wednesday August 30th - Friday September 8th, incoming Junior Infant classes will start at 08:35 and finish at 12:00. Parents and guardians can acompany their child to their classroon and " Hug & Go". From Monday September 11th the Junior Infant day will be from 08:35-13:15 and we ask that parents "Hug & Go" at the school gates and let their child walk to their classroom.The Senior Infant Day from Wednesday August 30th will be 08:35-13:15. All other classes will start school at 08:35 and finish at 14:15. Classroom numbers , lines and entrance door numbers for classes will be emailed nearer August 30th.

GRADUATION DAY: The Graduation ceremony for 6th classes was held on Wednesday 28th June 2023. It was a fantastic day and the boys put on a brilliant and creative performance of songs, acting, recitation and rapping. We thank Mr DePaor and Mr Gilheaney for all their great work with 6th classes. We heartily thank the Parents Association for the lovely spread they put out afterwards. We wish the boys all the best in their school and presonal journeys ahead and we hope they know they are always very welcome to come back to visit us in Saint Mary's and share their journeys.
OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE LIGHTHOUSE: We are delighted to announce that The Lighthouse was officially opened today Monday 26th June by Minister of State with responsibility for Special Education and Inclusion, Josepha Madigan. We thank Minister of State at the Department of Finance Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, TD Richard Boyd Barrett, Senator Barry Ward, Councillor Maurice Dockrell and Monsignor Ciaran O Carroll who came to support us at the opening today. The Lighthouse opened in January 2023 under the caring and gifted guidance of our SET teacher and SNA, Miriam O' Dea and Deborah McGrath. We are delighted that the classroom currently has three students and will have six in September.Every local Minister, TD, Senator , Councillor, Board of Management member, and our fantastic St. Mary’s BNS Autism Class Action Group have been so supportive, from the get go, in helping us get this very worthwhile project off the ground. For that we are extremely grateful. A heartfelt thank you from all in Saint Mary's Boys' National School.
MULTICULTURAL DAY: The sun may not have been shining and for a short while we encountered a few drops of rain but this did not in any way spoil what was a wonderful Multicultural Day in St. Mary's.None of this would have been possible without parental support. Thanks to all who prepared a wonderful array of savory food and sweet treats from around the world. In total, nineteen countries were represented! Thanks to our 6th Class pupils who demonstrated great responsibility in setting up, supporting younger pupils, serving and clearing away after the event.Finally, thanks to those who provided the fantastic entertainment which greatly enhanced the celebration: Alexi with his talented drumming, The Key Notes who read their audience perfectly and to Dhanya, Jaya and Harini for their lovely Indian dancing. A very special thnak you to Ms Ballance and Ms Spelman who organised the whole event.

PARKS TENNIS:Parks Tennis children’s coaching returns to Clarinda Park, Dún Laoghaire, starting 10th July for 3 weeks (Mon-Fri). Children can do 1, 2 or 3 weeks. Classes divided by age. Open to girls & boys aged 5-17, irrespective of tennis experience. Staff are fully trained. All equipment (rackets, balls etc.) provided. Fee €35 per week.
