CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE: Our annual Christmas Carol Service will take place in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Booterstown Ave. on Thursday 14th December at 7.30pm.Second to Sixth Classes will participate in this beautiful evening of song and scripture.We invite you all to share this evening with your family. Although the pupils of Junior Infants, Senior Infants and 1st Class will not be participating in the service, they, along with their families, are most welcome to attend.We request that the boys involved be dropped off at the entrance to thePastoral Centre (glass door to the right of the church) at 7:15 pm. Wekindly ask that parents hold on to their sons’ coats. At the end of the service, boys will return to the care of their parents from the church.
Full school uniform is to be worn on the night of the Carol Service,including black shoes. To facilitate this, tracksuits may be worn to school on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th.
LAURALYNN CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY: Once again we are supporting LauraLynn Children's Hospice in their Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser which takes place Friday 8th December. Boys can wear their favourite Christmas Jumper or any Red or Green top to school this Friday. CHRISTMAS FAIR: A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Parents' Association for organising such a wonderful Christmas Fair. It was a first for Saint Mary's to have our own Christmas Grotto in the Grotto Place. It was great to see so many stalls such as: Tombola, Facepainting, Photo Booth and Principal for a Day Draw. Tom in 5th class will be Principal for a day and he will be ably assisted by Ollie in 3rd class who will be Deputy Principal for a Day. We thank the whole school community, staff, students & past students for coming to support us. Míle Míle Buiochas to all the PA who worked so hard over the last few weeks organising such a great event.
CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCES: We are happy to inform you of the dates and times of our Christmas performances. Pupils from 2nd - 6th Classes will participate in our Senior Carol Service which will take place on Thursday 14th December at 7:30 pm in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Booterstown Ave.Junior performances will take place in the Old School Hall beside The Lighthouse. Performance dates and times are as follows:Junior Infants Wednesday 20th December at 12:00 pm.Senior Infants Tuesday 19th December at 12:00 pm. 1st Class Wednesday 20th December at 1:00 pm. More information will follow about the Senior Carol Service at a later date.
CHURCH VISIT FOR CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES: Thank you to all the parents and children who turned up to the Church Visit on Sunday 3rd December. Marion Simpson and Mairín Benson will host a second session in the church for Confirmation candidates next Sundays Dec. 10th. The session will start at 10am and should last 40/45 minutes; and will give the young people an opportunity to learn about their parish church, with a special emphasis on the Sacrament of Confirmation. As part of their preparation for the reception of this Sacrament, each candidate is welcome to attend and should be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Younger siblings are also welcome to attend. Both look forward to meeting your child.
REGISTRATION FOR CONFIRMATION, FIRST RECONCILIATION AND FIRST COMMUNION: An email has been sent out from the Parish Sacramental Preparation Team to all 2nd and 6th classes with dates for sacraments , dates for church tours, attached registration forms and emails addresses where completed registration forms have to be sent to. If you are registering your child for a sacrament please do so on/ before Monday December 4th. This has been extended to Friday December 8th 2023.

ADMISSIONS 2024-2025: Saint Mary's started accepting admissions for 2024-2025 on Monday 2nd October. The closing date was Friday November 10th. Parents/ guardians will be advised of their application on Friday November 24th and have until Friday 8th December to accept offers made.
