This year's Student Council has ten members with two representatives from each class from First Class up. Oisin and Matteo are our chairpersons and Jacob and Conor are our secretaries. They meet regularly with Ms. Judy Doyle and Ms. Siobhan McClusky to discuss and plan activities, events and change in our school.

In September, the Student Council organised a Jersey Day fundraiser, and for Halloween they worked with the Active Flag committee to organise a spooky walk around Booterstown. These two fundraisers raised €750 for GOAL and for Temple Street. The Student Council also helped with the collection and organisation of the 250 shoeboxes donated for the Team Hope Shoebox Appeal. They have designed, created and distributed 'Suggestion Boxes' to every classroom in school. These boxes are to promote 'Student Voice' in St. Mary's, where all pupils can have their say on change in our school.

At the moment, they are planning a fun activity for the whole school which will take place before the Christmas holidays. The members of the Student Council are proud to be representing their class and look forward to an exciting and productive year ahead.
