RUN DUBLIN RUN THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.  Run Dublin Run was held in Irishtown Stadium on Saturday 19th September, It was a really great and fun occasion for all. A huge thank you to the parents who helped with registration and to the huge number of children, parents and staff who turned up on the day to support Saint Mary's Boys' National School. Your continued support is very much valued and appreciated.  Míle míle buíochas. 

WHOLE SCHOOL MEETING 23/9/2026 at 19:30. The Board of Management is seeking feedback on our school specific results from the Dept of Education Have Your Say survey last year.This looked at schools’ and parents’ views in 3 areas a) Co-educational or single-sex provision b) Patronage/ethos c) Language of instruction. You are all invited as part of the BOM’s information and feedback gathering on these results in the school on Wednesday 23rd September at 19:30. Thank you. St Mary’s Board of Management. 

COFFEE MORNING: We are delighted to invite all Junior Infants parents and parents of children who are new to St Mary’s BNS to a welcome coffee morning this Friday morning, 25th September, after drop-off in the school hall.This will be a lovely opportunity to meet some other parents, have a cup of tea or coffee and get to know some friendly faces as you settle into school life.The school hall can be accessed through the gate at the top of Grotto Avenue.We look forward to welcoming you all and hope you can join us!Kind regards, St Mary’s BNS PA.

FIRST AID FOR PARENTS THURSDAY 01/10/2026 at 19:30. Just a gentle reminder about First Aid for parents. Please see below details of First Aid training organised by Our Lady of Mercy PA and Saint Mary's PA. Siobhan Butler will facilitate the workshop. Siobhan is extremely experienced. Please see more details below.Siobhan will look at such topics as CPR, choking, burns, head injuries, meninigitis & when to call emergency.It will be held  on Thursday 1st October at 19:30 and it's free. It will be held in the OLOM hall.Hopefully see you there. LOTTERY  FUNDRAISING WEEKLY DRAW: Great news. Congratulations to this week's winner Ruth S. Ben is in 1st class and Senan is in 3rd. There was great excitement and rapturous applause in our school assembly as the jackpot winner was announced. Please see the fundraiser link button on our website. Our Weekly Fundraiser. BLESSING OF ANIMALS:  The blessing of animals will be held in Our Lady of Mercy Convent School on Sunday 4th October at 14:00. You are invited to bring your pet, a photo or drawing of your pet or endangered animal for a special blessing. Everyone is very very welcome. Please use the church car park entrance to school.

BRONNTANAS DLR  LIBRARIES FESTIVAL:  This September, dlr Libraries joins with Gaeilge365 to host Bronntanas , a new festival celebrating the possibilities the Irish language creates for families. Every event is designed to help parents and children create memories through Irish, regardless of their language ability. CYBERSAFEKIDS REPORT SEPTEMBER 2026: The Year Little Changed" is an annual snapshot of children's digital lives in Ireland, providing a detailed overview of data collected in the 2025-26 academic year from over 7,000 children (aged 8-15). It's a vital insight into how children spend their time online, levels of access, and children's experiences, both positive and negative. JUNIOR CYCLE SUBJECT LEAFLETS: The Department of Education and Youth has created new subject and career leaflets for all 6 th class pupils, their families and their teachers. These leaflets explain the subjects your child can choose for Junior Cycle and give short, easy to understand information on each one. You can find the leaflets at link.
