Student Council

Pupil Representatives meet with school administration to give their perspective and to plan school improvements.

St. Mary’s is an Active School flag school, awarded for the very wide range of sports and activities offered.

Multi-Culturalism

We celebrate and support the concept of multi-culturalism and inclusion through class and school events.

Erasmus+

Our participation in EU funded Erasmus+ projects with international colleagues has enriched school and pupil life.

Nice One Awards

Nice One Awards, celebrating practical examples of positive pupil behaviour, are presented at each School Assembly.

Green School

The project promotes whole-school action and pupil awareness of the environment. We have seven project flags.

Seachtain/Coicís na Gaeilge

Celebrates our cultural and language inheritance and gives pride of place to pupil involvement and enjoyment.

Inclusive Education Framework

This self-evaluation assists us to assess and improve how pupils with special educational needs are supported.

Team Hope

Pupils learn about those children less fortunate in the world and contribute items to the annual shoebox appeal.

Junior Entrepreneur

The school has participated in several Junior Entrepreneur programmes which foster pupil creativity and team-work.

Classroom Without Walls

Day-trip Educational Outings are arranged to historical, cultural and educational sites of interest.
