Fourth Class have been exploring the life and work of Vincent van Gogh. After looking at some of his most known paintings, such as Sunflowers, The Bedroom and Self-Portrait, we found The Starry Night particularly outstanding. We discussed the use of different blues in the painting, and how we could explore and experiment making new blues through paint mixing.
Using a blank template of The Starry Night, each of us took one section of the painting and took to creating new shades and hues of blue. Then, we put each section together to create our own unique version of The Starry Night. We are thrilled with the end product!
