CHRISTMAS FAIR: Our fantastic Parents’ Association is hosting its annual Christmas Fair on Sunday the 7th December from 15:00-17:30. It will be held in the school hall and in Booterstown Community Centre. Family entrance tickets will be on sale from class reps this week at a discount price of €15. (€20 on the day of the Xmas Fair) We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday. There will be many exciting stalls for all the family such as Santa’s Grotto, face painting, toys for sale, Principal and Deputy Principal for a Day raffle etc. More details to follow during the week.
SAVE THE DATES: We are happy to inform you of the dates and times of our Christmas performances. Pupils from 2nd - 6th Classes will participate in our Senior Carol Service which will take place on Tuesday 16th December at 7:00 pm in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Booterstown Ave. More information will follow at a later date. Junior performances will take place in the Old School Hall on Grotto Ave. on the following dates:
Junior Infants: Tuesday 16th December at 12:00 pm
Senior Infants: Wednesday 17th December at 12:00 pm
1st Class: Thursday 18th December at 1:00 pm
HOT LUNCHES: Nourish and Green began hot lunches in Saint Mary's BNS on Wednesday 26th November 2025.The boys have given the thumbs up to all the meals they have been given and their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Many boys are trying a different meal each day whsih is great to see. We thank all the students, parents and teachers who were part of our Hot Lunch Focus Group.Their hard work and time have paid off and our hot lunch initiative has had a very smooth and successful rolling out. Please note that hot lunches will not be served on the school half days of the Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays. (19th December, 27th March and 26th June.) If your child has school trip for the full school day hot lunches will not be served to their specific class that day. Your child will need to bring in their own lunch and snacks Please note, in compliance with Department regulations, under no circumstances are students allowed to take uneaten food home. PRIMARY SCHOOL SURVEY FOR PARENTS: HAVE YOUR SAY: We are asking you as a parent or guardian of children in primary school to ‘Have Your Say’ about your primary school. SCHOOL CLOSURE FOR STAFF TRAINING: Saint Mary's BNS will be closed for students on Thursday January 29th 2026 and Thursday April 30th 2026 for staff training for the New Primary Curriculum Framework.
