May was a wonderfully busy and memorable month in 2nd Class. A special highlight was the celebration of First Holy Communion on 16th May, when twenty of the boys received this beautiful sacrament. We were immensely proud of how reverently and confidently they participated throughout the ceremony.

To celebrate receiving their First Holy Communion, the whole class enjoyed a delicious pizza party together. As an extra treat, each of us  had the opportunity to make our  own cake in a mug, which was great fun and a wonderful way to mark this special occasion.

In English, we have been thoroughly enjoying The Butterfly Lion by Michael Morpurgo. Inspired by the story, the we stepped into the shoes of the main character, Bertie, and produced thoughtful diary entries and letters based on events from the novel.

Our creativity also flourished in Art, where we explored Aboriginal art techniques and created vibrant pieces inspired by this distinctive style.
