4th and 5th Class had a fantastic trip to the dlr LexIcon to see Mark the Science Guy. Mark is well known for his RTÉ show 'Let's Find Out' and told us about his adventures filming 'Storm Chasers' in areas where tornadoes occur.
The boys were fascinated by the exciting science demonstrations. Mark showed us how air compression works, explained how rockets launch from a launch pad using rocket fuel, and even flew a drone. Some of the boys were invited on stage to help with the experiments, which was a real highlight.
We also learned about space and how scientists and engineers work together to launch rockets and satellites into space. It was a fun and engaging show, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day!
