4th Class recently enjoyed conducting an elephant toothpaste experiment. The boys explored the materials involved and predicted the effects each would have on the experiment. The ingredients we used were yeast, water, hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, dish soap and food colouring. We discussed why each material might be needed, and we decided that some groups would use different ingredients. We selected one group to use double the amount of yeast and hydrogen peroxide to see what would happen... a big erruption is what happened!!
