MY LITTLE LIBRARY BOOK BAGThe My Little Library initiative has for the past 3 years offered a free book bag and books to every child starting school in September through their local library. Families simply have to pop down to their library and pick up their bag and maybe take the opportunity to become library members. Each year the initiative has meant over 20,000 young children starting junior infants have joined the library. The project involves: Every child finishing pre-school and starting school in September receiving an invite to their local library to pick up a free transitions book bag. On visiting the library with their parents, families will hopefully join the library. The libraries have prepared a special wallet for the children for their own library card. Your local library has a sample book bag for your school to show the junior infant parents. Please visit your local library and get your child's little library bag.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SENIOR SOCCER TEAM The Senior Soccer Team capped off a fantastic season with an outstanding 5–1 victory in the league final. From the first whistle to the last, the team showed incredible discipline, determination, and teamwork in a performance that reflected the hard work they have put in all this year. Every player played their part, working for one another and showing a positive attitude throughout the match. Each of the boys’ composure and sportsmanship set a great example for younger students. What stood out most was the strong sense of camaraderie within the squad. The players supported and encouraged each other from start to finish, celebrating every goal, tackle, and save together. This team spirit has been a key part of their success all season. Congratulations to the entire panel on a brilliant achievement and a memorable league final win and to Mr Briggs who has worked tirelessly to coach and mentor the team.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION Thank You We hope you are all well and still revelling from the wonderful memories created at Saturday's celebration of First Holy Communion. The boys all looked so smart and their participation and engagement in all their various roles and duties during the service was flawless. Special thanks to the choir, under the direction of Ms Smith, supported by Mr Briggs, for their lovely singing throughout the ceremony. It was lovely to see you back at Mass yesterday and thereafter in the Parish Centre for the reception. On that note, we extend a sincere thanks to Mairín Benson and the Parish Hospitality team and all those members of the St Mary's BNS Parent's Association who gave so generously of their time and energy in making Sunday's hospitality so enjoyable. We also wish to extend a sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your ongoing support and cooperation with us over the last few months and in particular, we want to thank you for the lovely bouquets of flowers and very generous vouchers we received following the ceremony on Saturday. There was absolutely no need but so genuinely appreciated. We hope the many, happy memories created from Saturday's celebration will remain with you and with the boys for the rest of your lives. With renewed thanks and best wishes to you all. Fiona and Coo.
