It's May and that means it's summertime!

The weather is sunny and warm. We all marched across the road to Booterstown Park with our checklists to look out for signs of summer.

We all remembered our Safe Cross Codecrossing the busy road.

We had a lovely picnic after all the summer signs were spottedand we ticked them all off our list.

We heard lots of birds singing, and we saw butterflies, ants, flowers in full bloom, trees in full leaf, bees, a ladybird, nettles, buttercups, daisies and Ms. O Dea's sunglasses!

We were very excited when our new STEAM kits arrived. That stands for; Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Math.

Each group got a different kit.

First we TALK about our mission.

Then we DRAW our design.

Next we Build our design.

Finally, we EXPLAIN our build.

                                                              LEO STEAM ACTIVITYAarons rocket

Leo and his group got building straws and made a bridge and tower.                                                                                 Aaron made a rocket.

We really enjoyed when Niall de Búrca came to visit our school. He's a Scéalaí. That means he is an Irish storyteller.

He told us about The Salmon of Knowledge.

He was very funny and used crazy voices! We all laughed so much. The boys really hope he comes back when they are in First Class.
