🍃 First Class Explorers: A Journey Through Nature! 🍃

We embraced the lovely warm weather before Easter as first class adventurers set off on a local geography trail to discover the amazing world of trees, leaves, and flowers right on our doorstep! With clipboards in hand and eyes wide with curiosity, the children wandered through our playground and green spaces, turning into real-life nature detectives.

Along the way, they learned how to tell the difference between different types of trees by studying the shape and texture of their leaves. They spotted wildflowers like daisies, dandelions, and bluebells, and even found some tiny hidden treasures like insects living in our playground in St Marys BNS Booterstown!

Through touching, observing, and sketching their finds, the children developed a deeper understanding of how plants grow and why trees are so important for our environment. They asked brilliant questions, shared their discoveries with friends, and marvelled at the rich variety of life thriving all around them.

By the end of the trail, First Class had not only filled their nature journals but also their hearts with a new appreciation for the beauty and wonder of the natural world. 🌳🌼
