March was another busy month in 2nd Class.
Twenty of the boys recieved the Sacrament of Reconciliation on the 11th. It was a beautiful occasion.
In Maths we learned about weight last week. One day, our teacher brought in items from her food cupboard and we had to estimate what weight we thought each item was - about 1/4 kg, 1/2 kg or 1kg. We also learned about tesselation and had fun using shapes that tesselate.
On World Book Day, we got to wear either our pjyamas to school or dress up as a book character. We made our own word searches and got to enjoy some DEAR time.
We celebrated Engineer's week during March - we watched a video about Alexander Graham Bell and made some string telephones!
We also celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge and got to perform an Irish dance during the Taispeántas we put on in the yard. Some boys in our class got to say a poem and rap on our Raidio na Scoile.
